Holy Spirit Dove Tenner - Rosary Items - Catholic Handmade Jewelry from On This Day Designs

The rich tones of the red and leopard jasper beads are a perfect compliment to this Holy Spirit Tenner. Both the dove, representing the Holy Spirit, and the crucifix are solid bronze medals re-cast from vintage originals. Then, to give this Tenner an earthy feel, we accented the beads with bronze and copper spacers. What makes this Tenner unique is it's "loop" design that is patterned from the Irish Penal Rosary. A penal rosary was a one decade rosary with a ring on one end. It was designed to fit into the palm of the hand so that it could be hidden from the authorities during penal times. The ring was moved from finger to finger to mark each decade as it was prayed. So too the "loop" of this Tenner (one decade rosary) can be moved from one finger to the next to help one keep track of the five mysteries of each rosary!
